Walker-Kimbrough, who will turn 30 years old in May and is entering her ninth season in the WNBA, has spent most of her career with the Washington Mystics, putting together a career year in 2024 that resulted in her ending third in the league’s Sixth Player of the Year voting. Over all 40 regular season games last year, Walker-Kimbrough averaged a career-high 7.5 points to go along with 1.9 assists, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.1 steals over 22.1 minutes per contest.
“Shatori is a proven competitor who brings energy, versatility, and a winning mentality to our team,” Atlanta general manager Dan Padover said via the team announcement. “She continues to elevate her game each season, and her ability to contribute on both ends of the floor will be a huge asset moving forward.”
Walker-Kimbrough is a valuable veteran presence for any team, but she also has the unique ability to make a strong impact on both ends of the floor. Not only can she boost her squad from anywhere on the floor offensively, but is perhaps even stronger defensively in locking opposing players down with her ball pressure.
The addition of Walker-Kimbrough adds to the already impressive offseason for the Dream to go along with the key acquisitions of Brittney Griner and Brionna Jones.
