St. Peter, MN – It will be the University of Chicago (UChicago) and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) who will meet in the finals of 2025 ITA Division III Men’s National Team Indoor Championships. As the top two seeded teams in the draw, this will be a rematch of the 2024 NCAA National Championship match in which UChicago came away with a 5-4 victory of the Stags of CMS.
Each having unique pathways to the finals, CMS earned a 6-1 victory over Trinity (TX) and a 5-2 victory over Case Western Reserve in today’s semifinal match. The Stags have been on court for just over five hours across their two matches. Meanwhile, for UChicago, they have played in two of the longest matches of the tournament, winning 5-2 over Gustavus and 5-2 over Denison. The Maroon have spent over seven hours on court here in Minnesota and will need to keep finding the extra gear in tomorrow’s championship match.
