This week’s main event was a triple threat match for a spot inside the Elimination Chamber between Fatu, Strowman and Priest.
Fatu and Priest sent Strowman out of the ring early so they could have an exchange of strikes. The Archer of Infamy looked like he had the upper hand until Fatu no-sold some hits and took him down.
When we returned from a break, all three men were involved in the action, but it felt like Strowman kept being the odd man out until the last five minutes.
The Monster Among Men began to go on a rampage, but Fatu and Priest kept going after each other in a clear attempt to set up a singles feud that may lead to a WrestleMania match.
Solo showed up to help Fatu, but Rhodes ran down to fight him. Tonga joined Sikoa, but Rhodes was able to get the better of them. All Fatu saw was Solo hitting Tonga and assumed it was intentional, so all hell broke loose.
Priest came out on top and earned his spot in the Elimination Chamber to end the show and earn the fifth spot in the match. Rhodes and Priest had a brief moment after the match but shook hands.
This was an entertaining main event with a lot of action, but the level of outside interference seemed excessive at the end. It worked, but it was still a bit much.
Result: Priest defeated Fatu and Strowman
Notable Moments and Observations
—Jimmy Uso was shown talking to McIntyre backstage and he ended up superkicking him.
—Fatu is one of the few people who is believable when he no-sells offense. He looks insane enough to not feel pain.
—Fatu yanking Priest off the top rope into a Samoan drop was awesome.
