Memphis, TN – For the third straight year, it will be CMS and UChicago meeting in the finals of the ITA Division III Women’s National Team Indoor Championships. Hosted at the Leftwich Tennis Center by the Sewanee: The University of the South, the top two seeded teams in the draw will be meeting in the final for what will be a familiar site for many Division III Women’s tennis fans.
In today’s semifinal action, UChicago had to come back in singles after dropping the doubles point to Emory. Winning on courts No. 2 – No. 6, UChicago once again showed off the depth of their lineup in today’s match winning all but one court in straight sets. Meanwhile, for CMS, they played a familiar foe in Pomona-Pitzer and fell behind early after doubles. Similarly to UChicago, CMS earned five wins in singles including wins from the No. 1 and No. 3 – No. 6 positions.
