UConn’s Azzi Fudd Considers Future, Weighs Pros and Cons Before Making Decision on Next Steps
In an Instagram post on Sunday, Fudd said she would make a list of pros and cons before making a decision.
“I think a pros-and-cons list is in my near future,” Fudd said. “I think I have to sit down and talk with my family, with the people closest to me, and just talk through the decisions… I’m a big pros-and-cons lister to kind of get the emotions out, the feelings out, and just write down facts.”
Fans trooped to the comment section to share their reactions, with some suggesting that Fudd stay one more year at UConn to make more NIL money, which is reportedly bigger than what WNBA players make. Others are adamant that she declare for the draft since she is projected to be a first-round pick.
Azzi Fudd in ‘Denial’ Over UConn Senior Day
The UConn women’s basketball team will play its final game of the 2024-25 regular season on March 2. The Huskies will play against Marquette at home to celebrate Senior Day. The contest will also be more of a potential NCAA tournament seeding for Geno Auriemma’s team, which has already won the Big East conference.
However, Fudd will participate in the Senior Day celebration and has already declared she was in denial about the celebration.

“No feels, I’m in denial, I’m actually not thinking about it at all,” Fudd said. “Hopefully, I’m gonna stay in denial until after the game, and then the emotions can come out. But I’m trying my hardest to not think about it.”
While Fudd ponders her basketball future, she remains a beloved figure to Huskies fans. She will cement her place in history if she can help UConn win its first NCAA championship title since 2016.
