The United States Tennis Association (USTA) has revealed its lineup for the upcoming 2025 Billie Jean King Cup Qualifying round. Under the leadership of captain Lindsay Davenport, Team USA will feature Jessica Pegula, Danielle Collins, McCartney Kessler, Asia Muhammad, and Desirae Krawczyk. The squad will travel to Bratislava, Slovakia, to compete against Denmark and Slovakia from April 11-13 on indoor hard courts at Peugeot Arena.
Aiming for a spot in the Finals
The Billie Jean King Cup is the premier international team competition in women’s tennis, with 146 nations competing across all levels of the competition in 2025. The Qualifying stage is structured into six round-robin groups of three teams, with only the top team from each group advancing to the Finals in Shenzhen, China, in November. Defending champions Italy and host nation China have already secured their places, leaving six teams to battle their way through the Qualifiers.
The matches will follow a best-of-three format, featuring two singles and one doubles match. The team that tops Group C will secure a direct spot in the Finals, while the other two teams will enter the Playoff round in November to determine their status for the next edition of the competition.

USA’s record against Denmark and Slovakia
Team USA holds a perfect 2-0 record against Denmark, with previous wins in 1990 and 1992. However, Slovakia has had the upper hand in their encounters, winning both past meetings in 2021 and 2024. With a strong team in place, the U.S. will look to change that narrative and secure a spot in the Finals.
