The Phoenix Mercury are making power moves in the Valley, bringing in fresh talent and energy through recent signings. Phoenix has officially signed Monique Akoa Makani, Shyla Heal, and Alexis Prince to training camp contracts. With the 2025 season quickly approaching, these additions could stir up something fierce on the court, giving fans plenty to be excited about.  

This season is set to be ever-evolving and highly engaging for the Mercury, as things will look different from previous years. A major factor in this shift is the announcement from legend Diana Taurasi that the upcoming season will be her last after 20 unforgettable years with the team—making every game even more impactful. With that in mind, Phoenix is focused on building strong team chemistry for the future.

The Mercury look forward to showcasing their growing roster and talent during the 2025 WNBA Tip-Off. The team will host its home opener on Saturday, May 17. As the season approaches, WNBA teams are gearing up, but Phoenix is preparing to handle the heat that’s coming their way in 2025.
