Lake Nona, FL – Nine collegiate wheelchair tennis programs will meet in Lake Nona, Florida this Thursday for the start of the 2025 ITA National Wheelchair Championships hosted at the USTA National Campus. Previously known as the USTA Collegiate Wheelchair Tennis National Championships, this year’s event will mark the 25th year of competition as the sport continues to grow on college campuses across the country.

Featuring nine teams from across the country, the competing teams at this year’s Championship include Alabama, Arizona, Auburn, Cincinnati, Clemson, Houston, Michigan, Michigan State, and Virginia. Cincinnati is the lone team from the group who did not compete in last year’s Championship as they will make the trip down from Ohio to play amongst the best.

Reigning champions, Houston, make their return to the ITA National Wheelchair Championships in 2025 where they will look to defend their title. They faced off against San Diego State in last year’s final and treated fans to an exhilarating match that lasted nearly three hours before Houston was crowned national champions.

Francesco Felici and Alabama will once again have high hopes as they head back to Lake Nona as the top seeded team in the competition. Felici was crowned the 2024-25 ITA Singles National Champion this past fall in Waco, Texas. Competing alongside the 2024-25 NCAA Division I Individual Championships, Felici beat Michigan’s Caidan Baxter in the final to take home the title.

The 2025 ITA National Wheelchair Championship will span from April 10-13 with the final being played on Sunday, April 13 beginning at 9:00 am (EST). All matches will be live streamed and we encourage fans to follow along with the action through the ITA social media accounts.
