Celebrate Independent Bookstore Day on two wheels with Bike the Crawl!
Choose a bookstore route and explore Chicago’s literary scene at your own pace. Kick off from Sandmeyer’s Bookstore between 9:00–10:30 AM, where Broadway Bikes (4653 N Broadway) will be on-site for free tire pumps, safety tips, and cycling advice. Grab swag, treats, and water before hitting the road!
This self-guided ride is best for those comfortable with city cycling. You can visit up to 55 participating bookstores. Suggested routes with protected bike lanes are available, but you are welcome to plan your own routes. A 10- or 15-stop ride wins you 10% or 15% off all bookstores for a full year!
While you are out there, plan on stopping at Liliput Books in Lincoln Park, recently opened by Chainlink’s very own Yasmeen Schuller.
Book lover, cyclist, or both—this is the perfect way to celebrate indie bookstores while biking the city. Registration fee of $10 gets you a cool Independent Bookstore Day bag, water, snacks, donuts and coffee!
