Nika Mühl will miss the entire 2025 WNBA season after the Seattle Storm placed her on the suspended list, the team announced last week. She tore her ACL in her first game overseas with Besiktas last October, so her recovery needed to be well ahead of schedule in order to return by the end of the regular season.

Teams can place players on a suspended list if a doctor determines they will miss the first six weeks of the season. The move helps open up salary cap space and a roster spot.
Mühl saw limited time as a rookie, playing in just 16 games for a total of 57 minutes after being drafted by the Storm in the second round of the 2024 WNBA Draft, 14th overall. She didn’t score her first points until the regular season finale.
After Seattle bowed out in the first round of the WNBA Playoffs, Mühl joined Besiktas in Turkey. During the 2:06 mark of the third quarter in her first game, she landed awkwardly while grabbing a rebound and immediately went down in pain. Mühl left the court on a stretcher, though she eventually returned to the bench on crutches. The team later announced that she suffered a torn ACL.
With Mühl officially out for the season, there are now 19 former Huskies competing for roster spots on 11 of the league’s 13 teams.
