After Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever destroyed the Brazil women’s national team on Sunday, they made sure to remind the whole WNBA that they are just getting started.
Indiana beat Brazil 108-44 behind a balanced scoring effort that saw four Fever players score in double digits. Kelsey Mitchell led in scoring with 17, while Clark finished with 16 points on top of six rebounds, five assists and a block.

Even better, 13 of the 14 players who suited up in the game were able to score.
As for Brazil, no one was able to reach double digits in scoring against a gritty defense from Indiana. The Brazilians were even unable to score more than 20 in a single quarter—making just seven points in the second quarter and nine in the fourth.
After the game, the Fever were naturally brimming with confidence and quickly posted on social media to put the WNBA on notice.
“a glimpse of what’s to come,” the Fever wrote, along with the eye emoji. “108 points and a big win in our trip to Iowa City.”
The Fever certainly have reason to celebrate. After all, they not only showed what they are capable of offensively but also defensively.

Indiana was actually one of the worst defensive teams in the WNBA last season, ranking 11th in defensive rating, only ahead of the Dallas Wings.
The Fever have also scored over 100 points just four times in 2024, with their highest-scoring game a 110-109 win over the Wings.
