Caitlin Clark and the Fever wrap up the preseason against the Dream on Saturday.
With superstar Caitlin Clark and the Fever playing their final preseason tune-up at the Gateway Center, Indiana visits the Atlanta Dream in College Park on Saturday afternoon. Clark is entering her second season in the WNBA after winning Rookie of the Year and getting the Fever into the playoffs in her first season. This offseason, Indiana has made a switch on the bench by hiring Stephanie White as its new head coach. The Fever also only brought back four players from Clark’s rookie season as they continue to build around the former No. 1 overall pick. Atlanta, on the other hand, was swept out of the WNBA playoffs one year ago by the eventual champs in the New York Liberty. The Dream also made a coaching change, hiring Karl Smesko as head coach this offseason.

Most recently, the Fever made quick work of the Brazilian National Team with a 108-44 victory in Clark’s return to the University of Iowa. The game was played at Carver-Hawkeye Arena, where Clark played her college basketball. The Fever star scored 16 points to go along with six rebounds and five assists in over 18 minutes of game action.Â
As for Atlanta, the Dream won their first preseason contest over Washington by a final score of 80-70 on Wednesday night. Brittney Griner led the Dream with a team-high 16 points and 10 rebounds in 19 minutes, while Rhyne Howard added 14 points and was a plus-23 in the game.Â
The Fever and Dream wrap up the preseason with a showdown in Atlanta on Saturday.Â
