TEMPE, Ariz. – The final week of the Division I college tennis season is here.

After a thrilling Super Regional weekend, just eight teams remain in both the Men’s and Women’s Division I NCAA Team Championships, which will be held from May 15-18 at Baylor’s Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas. The Women’s quarterfinals round will begin on Thursday, May 15, while the Men will kick off play on Friday, May 16.

The semis in both draws will take place Saturday, May 17, with each final slated for Sunday, May 18. First serve of the Women’s title match is 5 p.m. EST, while the Men will follow at 8 p.m. EST.

Quarterfinal matchups in Waco (all times listed in EST)Men’sNo. 1 Wake Forest vs. No. 8 Columbia (11 a.m.)No. 4 Stanford vs. No. 12 Mississippi State (2 p.m.)No. 2 TCU vs. No. 7 Virginia (5 p.m.)No. 3 Texas vs. UCLA (8 p.m.)

Women’sNo. 1 Georgia vs. No. 8 Duke (11 a.m.)No. 5 North Carolina vs. No. 13 LSU (2 p.m.)No. 2 Texas A&M vs. No. 10 Tennessee (5 p.m.)No. 3 Michigan vs. Oklahoma State (8 p.m.)

Both top-seeds remain in contention, as the No. 1 Wake Forest Men eased past No. 16 Texas A&M, 4-0, to improve to a remarkable 37-1 on the season. A clean sweep of California also propelled the No. 1 Georgia Women to a third consecutive quarterfinal berth.

The No. 2 TCU Men, last year’s champion, cruised to a 4-0 win against No. 15 UCF, while the reigning victors in the No. 2 Texas A&M Women are Waco bound following their 4-2 defeat of UCLA in the Supers.

In one of the bigger upsets of Super Regionals, the No. 12 Mississippi State Men marched into Columbus and upended No. 5 Ohio State, 4-2, handing the Buckeyes their first NCAA Tournament loss at home in team history (40-1). It’s just the seventh time in school history that the Bulldogs are Elite Eight-bound and the first since the 2018 season. It also marked just the fourth time in 21 seasons that the Buckeyes have failed to reach the quarters.

The dream season rolls on for the No. 13 LSU Women, who are heading to the Elite Eight for the first time in program history after a 4-2 victory over No. 4 Ohio State in Columbus. After dropping the doubles point, the Tigers rallied with four of the next five singles points to bury the Buckeyes. With the win, the Tigers matched the program’s all-time best record (24-7) set by the 1978 team.

The Oklahoma State Women continue to find a way, punching their ticket to Waco with a nailbiting 4-3 win against Stanford in Stillwater. Deadlocked at 3-3, the Cowgirls were lifted to victory by Gracie Epps on court five, who outlasted Stanford’s Alexandra Yepifanova in three sets, 6-4, 6-7 (11-13), 6-4 to send OSU to its first quarterfinal since 2017. After a stunning early exit last spring as the country’s No. 1 seed, the Cowgirls are now winners of 15 of their last 16 and have improved to 20-2 all-time in postseason matches played at their Greenwood Tennis Center facility.

In Charlottesville, fans were treated to a top-five tilt on singles court one in the match between No. 7 Virginia and No. 10 Arizona, as No. 5 Colton Smith (Arizona), the top-ranked ATP collegian, beat No. 4 Rafael Jodar (Virginia) in straight sets, 6-3, 7-6 (9-7). Despite Smith’s efforts, Virginia outperformed Arizona to reach their 18th quarterfinal in the last 20 championships.

The Battle of Los Angeles saw the UCLA Men outlast their crosstown rival in USC, 4-2. All six singles matches reached three sets and all doubles went the distance at the Bruins’ Los Angeles Tennis Center, as their first win against the Trojans this spring in three tries came when it mattered most.
