BLAST, Ubisoft Confirm Rainbow Six Munich Major and Six Invitational Paris

Game developer Ubisoft and esports brands BLAST have continued their partnership for the Rainbow Six esports circuit with two new large-scale events planned for Europe in 2025 and 2026.

The German city of Munich will host the Munich Major in November, and the season-ending tournament, the Six Invitational, will return to Paris in 2026.

The Munich event will be the second Major to take place in Germany after the Berlin Major in 2022. The tournament will take place between November 8 and November 16, with the final stage held in the BMW Park Arena, a venue that has hosted significant sporting and entertainment events such as the 1972 Summer Olympics and the 1983 Eurovision Song Contest. The Munich Mayor will be the only Major in 2025, marking a change from the previous two-Major structure. Instead of a Major in Spring, BLAST and Ubisoft have announced a new tournament aimed as a season kickoff event, called Reload.

The Six Invitational, the biggest event of the Rainbow Six: Siege competitive calendar, will take place in February 2025 in Paris, as the event returns to the city four years after the first edition. Due to the pandemic and ongoing restrictions, the 2021 Six Invitational was played behind closed doors in Paris, making the 2026 edition the first true Rainbow Six: Siege LAN in France. BLAST and Ubisoft did not share details about the location, but the venues for Six Invitational usually hold around 10,000 in-person attendees.

Hosting the BLAST R6 Munich Major and the Six Invitational in Paris will have a positive economic effect on both cities, despite Rainbow Six not being as popular in terms of sheer viewership as some other esports titles. Hosting both events in Europe also shows that BLAST is still very much focused on its “home market” while expanding globally to the United States and India.
