Caitlin Clark’s Exchange With WNBA Legend Is Turning Heads originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Caitlin Clark and a couple of her Indiana Fever teammates made waves all over social media on Wednesday after they were spotted sitting courtside at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the Indiana Pacers and the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Clark, along with Lexie Hull and Sophie Cunningham, were part of the energetic crowd in the arena who watched the Pacers take down the Thunder, 116-107, to take a 2-1 series lead in the Finals.
There was a WNBA legend in the building for the game, too, as two-time league MVP Candace Parker took part in ESPN’s broadcast of the big game. At one point in the evening, Clark and Co. got the chance to speak with Parker, and a photo of their exchange is currently making its rounds on social media.
The photo of Clark with her eyes locked on Parker during their brief conversation drew a range of reactions from fans on X.

“why CC don’t ever take good picture w the greats 😔 a comment read.
“ya’ll that is a GREAT pic of CC with Candace…need to appreciate the purity of the game CC has, how in awe she is of those legends! CC is a global name/face, yet she is honored to see CP! That’s just a great sight,” another said.
“‘So how much is your buyout clause with Nike, again?’ -Adidas president of women’s basketball, Candace probably,” joked a user, referencing Parker’s role as the President of Adidas Women’s Basketball, which she held since her retirement in spring of 2024.

“Star struck Fever players is so cute!” another fan chimed in.
“Look at their eyes! 🥹🥹🥹 They all looked so geeked! ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜” observed another.
Based on this photo alone, there’s no denying that Clark has so much respect for Parker. For her part, the WNBA icon has had nothing but high praise for the Fever guard as well.
Just recently, Parker questioned the unending comparisons between Clark and Chicago Sky star Angel Reese. According to the three-time WNBA champion, it’s like “comparing apples and oranges,” adding that Clark “makes her team better.”
