Four-Time WNBA All-Star Sends Strong Five-Word Message After Missing Four Weeks originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

During the first four weeks of the 2025 WNBA season, the Phoenix Mercury didn’t have a complete group. The team was missing Kahleah Copper, who underwent a left knee arthroscopy and missed a significant chunk of the regular season. Copper had the procedure days before the start of the new campaign. However, that wasn’t a problem since the Mercury had an 7-4 record to start the year.

On Sunday, Copper played her first game of the season and helped the Mercury with a 76-70 win over the Las Vegas Aces. The four-time All-Star finished the game with 11 points and two rebounds on a limited 17 minutes of action. Since she’s coming off surgery, head coach Nate Tibbetts did not give her a longer time on the floor.

After the game, Copper had a strong five-word reaction on X. The veteran star took to social media to share her thoughts on the team’s dominant performance.

“DUBS IN THE MF CHAT,” Copper posted.

Last year, Copper was Mercury’s leading scorer. She played 37 games, averaging 21.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists. She led the team to the playoffs but they were eliminated in the first round by the Minnesota Lynx.

Her new teammate, Satou Sabally, loved having her back on the floor with the team. Following the contest, Sabally said that having Copper and Alyssa Thomas share the floor with her “looked good.”

“I think we looked good, we got a dub and we’ll continue to be better every day,” said Sabally, who had 22 points and nine rebounds.

Copper has time to condition her body before Phoenix’s next game, which is on Wednesday. The Mercury will face the Connecticut Sun for the first time this year.
