Indiana Fever Make Caitlin Clark Announcement on Wednesday originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

The Indiana Fever improved to 6–5 on the season Tuesday night after defeating the Connecticut Sun 88–71 to win their second straight game and punch their ticket to the Commissioner’s Cup against the Minnesota Lynx on July 1.

While the Fever led for nearly the entire game, it certainly wasn’t without drama. As expected, second-year guard Caitlin Clark found herself in the middle of it, engaging in a back-and-forth battle with Sun guard Jacy Sheldon throughout the night.

Things came to a head when Clark shoved Sheldon following an aggressive defensive play, prompting Sheldon’s teammate Mariana Mabrey to respond by shoving Clark to the floor. The incident led to technical fouls for Clark, Mabrey, and Tina Charles, while Sheldon was assessed a flagrant foul.

Still, Clark continued her strong play, finishing the game with 20 points, six assists, and two steals—building off her standout performance over the weekend against the New York Liberty, where she erupted for 32 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds as the Fever handed the Liberty their only loss of the WNBA season so far.

Amid all the on-court fireworks, the Fever also made an exciting announcement on Wednesday, encouraging fans to vote Clark into the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game.

“let’s make CC a 2x All-Star,” Fever posted. “VOTE Caitlin Clark into the #WNBAAllStar2025 Game.”

Clark is averaging 21.3 points, 8.7 assists, and 5.5 rebounds so far this season, continuing to build on a rookie campaign in which she was named Rookie of the Year and selected as an All-Star.

Currently, Clark is considered a near lock to return to the All-Star Game, and she holds the second-highest odds to win MVP—trailing only Lynx star Napheesa Collier.

Voting remains open until June 28, and fans have responded to the Fever’s urgent push to get Caitlin Clark—and several of her teammates—into the All-Star Game, which is set to take place at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, the Fever’s home arena.

“You don’t even have to remind us with this one when it is all done, she will be leading those votes unless they decides to rob us,” a fan said.

Someone else added, “Voting everyday with 5 gadgets that has 3 different browsers.”

Another fan posted, “she’s gonna be an all star every year she’s in the league.”

“Say less,” one more fan commented.
