The 2025 WNBA All-Star Game is set for July 19 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. As of Saturday, the league has announced some, but not all, of the players participating.

Last Sunday, the league revealed that Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier will serve as captains after leading the fan vote. Then on Monday, the WNBA announced the game’s starters.

Of the 10 players named over those two days, Phoenix Mercury guard Kahleah Copper was not among them. Copper, already a four-time All-Star, was surprised, despite having played in only five games this season prior to Monday’s reveal.

The 10-year WNBA veteran underwent arthroscopic surgery on her left knee and didn’t make her 2025 season debut until June 15. However, she’s gone for at least 11 points in all six appearances this season, and even dropped 33 in Thursday night’s 98-89 loss to the Dallas Wings.

On Saturday, the 6-foot-1 guard came across a post on social media that said, “I’m guessing Kah didn’t get a notification for making an All-Star team.”

After already being snubbed as a starter, Copper’s response suggests she wasn’t selected as a reserve either, ahead of Sunday’s noon ET reveal.

“I played 5 games make it make sense boo,” Copper said.

Copper was selected seventh overall by the Washington Mystics in the 2016 WNBA draft. She spent one season there before joining the Chicago Sky, where she played until being traded to Phoenix in February 2024.

The Philadelphia native was part of Chicago’s 2021 WNBA championship team and won Finals MVP that year.
