Jacob Misiorowski has been a revelation for the Milwaukee Brewers this season, and his manager has put the young pitcher’s emergence into context.
Misiorowski, 23, was a second-round pick by the Brewers in 2022. He battled elevated walk totals but ascended through the Brewers’ minor-league system to get promoted to the big club in June. Entering his start on Tuesday, Misiorowski was 3-1 with a 3.20 ERA in four starts. He had allowed just three hits and two runs over his first 16 MLB innings. Brewers manager Pat Murphy thinks this is only the start for The Miz.
Murphy gave a great quote about Misiorowski ahead of the pitcher’s start against the Dodgers on Tuesday.
“He’s just broken the shell, man. He’s just out of the egg, all arms and legs. He’s still got gooey stuff coming off him. He’s something special,” Murphy said.
