WNBA All-Star Captain Gets New Nickname After Dominating Against Angel Reese, Chicago Sky originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

Minnesota Lynx star Napheesa Collier earned a new nickname after leading her team to a strong win over the Chicago Sky on Monday night.

Collier had 29 points, five assists and three steals in the 91–78 win at Wintrust Arena. She made four out of seven three-point shots and went a perfect 11-for-11 from the free-throw line.

This win helped Minnesota improve their record to 19–4, the best in the WNBA this season. It also gave them payback for their loss to Chicago just two days earlier.

After the game, the Lynx called her “Ms. Do-It-All” in a social media post. The Lynx’s official account didn’t just stop at a nickname. They also described Collier’s performance as “Phenomenal”, alongside a graphic showing her stats.

Her all-around play made it clear why she was chosen as one of this year’s WNBA All-Star Game captains. Her teammates helped push the Lynx forward, too. Courtney Williams nearly had a triple-double with 18 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists.

Kayla McBride added 17 points, while Bridget Carleton hit a key three-pointer early in the second half.

Sky forward Angel Reese posted her ninth straight double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Still, her efforts couldn’t stop Collier and the Lynx. However, Collier shared high praise for the young Sky star before the game.

“Angel is a part of the future of the league,” she said. “She has a long career ahead of her.”

That didn’t stop Collier from taking charge once the game began. In the third and fourth quarters, she helped Minnesota pull away with timely baskets and perfect free-throw shooting.

Collier’s leadership continues to shine as the WNBA All-Star break approaches. As a five-time All-Star and team captain, she’s showing fans and fellow players why she’s one of the league’s top MVP candidates  and why the nickname “Ms. Do-It-All” just might stick.
