Skylar Diggins didn’t need a full game to rewrite the WNBA record book. She racked up 11 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists in under 23 minutes during Seattle’s 101-85 win over the Connecticut Sun.
Diggins shines in blowout win with fastest triple-double ever
That stat line made her just the second player in Seattle Storm history to record a triple-double, and she did it in the fewest minutes ever recorded for one in the league.
Diggins sat out the fourth quarter as Seattle cruised after building a 32-point lead. Seven of her assists went to Nneka Ogwumike, who finished with a game-high 26 points.

She credited her aggressive rebounding to a midseason talk with coach Noelle Quinn, saying she made it a point to chase the ball more after the All-Star break.
This wasn’t Diggins’ first triple-double of the month. She also notched one in the All-Star Game, the first in the event’s history.
Diggins said she wanted to bounce back from a rough game in Washington and do her part. She certainly did that.
Her coach and teammates knew what it meant. “Sky’s been through a lot,” Quinn said. “It was a big moment for her, and everyone on the team felt that.”
Seattle is back at it on Friday when they host the Los Angeles Sparks. The Storm are now third in the Western Conference with a 16-11 mark on the season.
