JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA — Following the overwhelming success of its historic, sold-out debut in Cape Town, the Professional Fighters League (PFL) is bringing the action back to South Africa. The second event of the inaugural PFL Africa season is set for Saturday, August 9, at the Big Top Arena, Carnival City in Johannesburg, promising another night of elite-level MMA from the continent’s top fighters.
The Johannesburg event will feature the Featherweight and Welterweight Divisions, as competitors enter the SmartCage and battle to advance to the PFL Africa Semifinals.
Main and Co-Main Events Set the Stage for Fireworks
In the main event, Nigeria’s rising Featherweight star Patrick Ocheme (6-1) faces off against Guinea’s Mohamed Camara (5-2-1) in a highly anticipated first-round clash.
The co-main event features Angola’s powerhouse Shido Boris Esperanca (9-1) taking on the experienced Ibrahima Mané (14-5) of Gambia in a pivotal Welterweight showdown.
