The largest Super Smash Bros. event is underway in Virginia, with the top players in Melee, Ultimate and every other Smash title heading to Supernova for a weekend of stacked tournaments.

Combo Contest Winner
The Combo Contest is a coveted event that takes place on the first day of Supernova every year. Playing on Nintendo 64, dedicated participants set up items and character placements to then create a long string of combos. The most creative and complex combos will win, with popular players like Juan ‘Hungrybox’ DeBiedma acting as the judges.
Combo Contest legend Huntsman won this year, with his final winning combo even involving him switching back and forth between two fighters, Fox and Samus. They tossed Donkey Kong around the stage, even getting him to land on a bomb on an off-stage cloud before using Fox’s blaster to finish him off.
Huntsman also won in 2023. One of his combos included him taking off his socks and playing with his feet.
How to Watch Supernova 2025
Supernova 2025 released a streaming schedule for the entire weekend ahead of the event. You can watch the various tournaments on VGBootcamp’s Twitch channel.
If you miss any matches, they will likely be uploaded to YouTube after the event wraps up.
