JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The upcoming 2025 season marks the 30th season of North Florida women’s soccer. In honor of 30 seasons of Osprey women’s soccer, a committee was created to select past letter winners that truly helped take the program to new heights.

To celebrate each decade of Osprey women’s soccer, three all-decade teams were chosen spanning the 1996 through 2024 seasons, as well as the 30th Anniversary Team being selected. The following teams are set to be honored during halftime of North Florida’s home match against Queens on Sunday, Sept. 21, at 1 p.m.

All North Florida women’s soccer Alumni are encouraged to attend the match and connect with former teammates and current players.

“First of all, I know our team is excited about the 30th Anniversary of UNF women’s soccer.  There have been a lot of great team and individual accomplishments over the years to be proud of, and we plan to continue that legacy moving forward,” head coach Eric Faulconer said. “I want to thank our committee made up of women’s soccer associate head coach Morgan Luckie, former men’s soccer head coach Derek Marinatos, and members of our administration Donna Kirk, Nancy Miller and Josh Baker for helping with the selection of the all decade and 30th Anniversary teams. We are looking forward to celebrating the anniversary of our program on September 21 and hope that we can get as many alumni to the game as possible to reconnect, share stories and cheer on the current Ospreys against Queens.”

“During the first ten season of Osprey women’s soccer, the UNF program was a national power at the NCAA Division II level,” Faulconer remarked. “I was coaching at Thomas University at the time and had the privilege of coaching against many of the players that have been selected on the 1996-2005 All Decade Team. Being a former Division II coach myself for 13 seasons, I have great respect for what UNF was able to accomplish during this time. Many of the players on this list and their teammates continue to be some of the biggest supporters of our program. I am excited that we are recognizing these amazing athletes that laid the foundation of our program”

“There are some really great players in this group that helped the program make the transition from the NCAA Division II ranks to Division I. They really helped lead the program in a positive direction,” Faulconer said. “That has allowed us to continue to build on their hard work and dedication as we continue to take this program to new heights. I greatly appreciate the contributions of the All-Decade Team Members from 2006-2015.”

“I have had the good fortune to coach almost everyone in this group and I am very proud of their accomplishments,” Faulconer stated. “Collectively, the most Division I all-conference and all-region selections have been achieved during the past 10 years. We even had the program’s first Division I all-American. In addition to their outstanding careers, they have been super supportive our program. Which obviously means a lot.  I am hoping to see some of these familiar faces and their teammates in September.”

“This was a very difficult task, as there were so many worthy possible selections,” Faulconer said.  “To be on any list of the best of the best is an incredible accomplishment. This group is made up of All Americans, UNF Hall of Famers, ASUN Players of the year, and multiple All Conference and All Region Selections. Congratulations to each one of you on this tremendous recognition.”
