The 2025-26 Celtics are going to have a different feel than they have in years past. That doesn’t mean you can’t be excited for the green team to return.

The Celtics first game of the season will be at home against the Philadelphia 76ers on October 22nd, exactly a year after Banner 18 raised to the rafters. Philadelphia is coming off of a disappointing season but should be better next season. One of the biggest rivals in Celtics history, it is always fun when. Philadelphia comes to town.

Boston will play 25 national TV games this season. Their first national TV game will be on October 24th at the Knicks on Amazon Prime. They will play 7 games on Prime Video, 6 on ESPN, 6 on NBC, 4 on Peacock (NBC’s streaming service) and 2 on ABC. The NBA new television contracts are coming into affect this season so TNT no longer will have NBA games, instead Amazon Prime, NBC and Peacock will carry games.

Boston will go on two separate trips to the West coast this season. The first will be from December 26th to January 3rd that includes Indiana, Portland, Utah, Sacramento and Los Angeles (Clippers). The second will be from February 19th to February 26th that includes Golden State, Los Angeles (Lakers), Phoenix and Denver.

Boston has a lot of Rivals so when will they play them? They play the 76ers on October 22nd, October 31st (NBA Cup game on Prime), November 11th (NBC) and March 1st. They play the Knicks on October 24th (Prime), December 2nd (NBC), February 8th (ABC) and April 9th (Prime). They play the Heat on on January 15th, February 6th and April 1st. Finally they play the Lakers on December 5th (Prime) and February 22nd (NBC).

The Celtics saw a lot of players depart this summer so when will they return? Jrue Holiday and the Portland Trail Blazers come to town on January 26th (Peacock). Kristaps Porzingis and the Atlanta Hawks come to town on January 28th. Luke Kornet and the San Antonio Spurs come to town on January 1oth. The Golden State Warriors (and potentially Al Horford) come to town on March 18th (ESPN).

If you missed the NBA Cup games you can read when those are here.
