After an uncharacteristic start to the 2025 WNBA season, it appears that the Las Vegas Aces have officially gotten their swagger back.

A wild ride would be an understatement when describing the Aces’ season. It’s been a rollercoaster—nerves, high highs and low lows, all at what has felt like an insanely rapid pace. But, the high the Aces are on right now feels amazing considering the season has been dominated by lows. The team looks fresh and inspired, A’ja Wilson looks like the greatest to ever grace the court and the Aces that looked lost are long gone.

Is there enough time for the Aces to still shake things up in the W this season?

All they do is win, win, win

Yes, the Aces are winners of seven-straight games and 12 of their last 15, stringing together their highest winning percentage of the season. During this heater of a run, Vegas has also propelled themselves to No. 3 in the Western Conference standings, and tied for No. 4 in the overall standings, after struggling to stay afloat for most of the season thus far.

The biggest “if” is their ability to maintain their winning ways.

The Aces remaining schedule isn’t particularly difficult. And while they are bound to eventually lose another game, there’s legitimate reason to have faith in them remaining on a winning streak to close out the regular season, which would, in turn, boost their confidence heading into the postseason.

First name A’ja, last name Wilson

Let’s be real, A’ja Wilson isn’t even building a case for MVPs at this point; she is building a GOAT case in real time.

In the past 10 games, Wilson has averaged 24.7 points, 11.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.7 blocks and 1.5 steals while stringing together some of the most dominant performances we’ve ever witnessed on the WNBA hardwood, including becoming the first player in league history with at least 30 points and 20 rebounds in the same game. She is out of this world and seems to somehow take her game a level higher every time you think she has hit her peak.

While A’ja continues to make league history individually, her energy and dedication are also proving to be infectious because this entire Aces squad is playing high-level ball and making wins look like the norm in Vegas. It shows that the veteran leadership of this squad holds tremendous value, especially as the postseason approaches.

With only nine games left, Wilson and the Aces have a chance to make one of the more remarkable in-season turnarounds in league history. Are the cards in the Aces’ favor?
