New York, NY – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (“ITA”) is once again delighted to welcome some of the biggest and brightest stars, of past and present, in college tennis to New York City to take part in the ITA Leadership Awards Weekend presented by Limoneira.
Taking place around the excitement of the US Open, the ITA Leadership Awards Weekend will offer award winners the opportunity to give back to future generations of the tennis community, as well as to be celebrated by peers and other dignitaries in a night highlighted individuals who have excelled in numerous areas of sport, academia, or professional careers.
To begin the weekend, student-athletes who have been honored with the Arthur Ashe Jr. Leadership & Sportsmanship Award, Sally Ride STEM Award, and Ann Lebedeff Leadership Award will take part in Arthur Ashe Kids Day at the US Open. Here these athletes will have a role in the largest grassroots tennis event in which over 45,000 parents and kids take part in a free event aimed to get kids excited about the sport of tennis.
After a day of service at Arthur Ashe Kids Day, college tennis dignitaries, award winners, and those closest to them will gather at The Yale Club for an awards dinner. Here, award winners will be celebrated for their distinguished accomplishments, receiving awards and giving speeches to all in attendance.
Thanks to the generous support of Limoneira, the ITA is excited to bring all of these award winners together once again in 2025 for what will be an unforgettable experience for all in attendance.
