Changes are coming to the organisational structure of Scuderia Ferrari. At the end of 2025, the team from Maranello will see the departure of a significant figure, even if his most recent assignment was no longer a leading one. According to Paolo Ciccarone of RMC Motori, 61-year-old Briton Jock Clear will leave Ferrari, closing a chapter that began in 2014 and lasted for more than a decade.
Throughout his time at Ferrari, Jock Clear covered high-profile roles on the pit wall as Head of Engineering and Performance, before more recently moving into the management of the Ferrari Driver Academy. For a professional with his extensive background, the Academy role was considered somewhat limited and less prestigious compared to his earlier responsibilities.
Ferrari has already outlined its succession plan: Marc Gené will take over from Jock Clear, becoming the direct support to Jerome D’Ambrosio, the current head of the Ferrari Driver Academy. D’Ambrosio has recently celebrated important milestones, including Oliver Bearman’s sixth place finish at the Dutch Grand Prix and Rafael Camara’s triumph in the Formula 3 Championship.
