IU moved up in both national college football polls released Sunday afternoon after a strong week two performance.
The Hoosiers jumped up two spots in the latest US LBM coaches poll.
IU crushed Kennesaw State 56-9 on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium and is ranked No. 19 as a result in the coaches poll. The Hoosiers began the season ranked No. 19 in the coaches poll.
IU coach Curt Cignetti is on the US LBM Board of Coaches for the 2025 season.
Ohio State (No. 1), Penn State (No. 2) and Oregon (No. 5) held steady in the coaches poll while Illinois moved up three spots to No. 9 after its win at Duke. Michigan dropped nine spots to No. 22 following its loss at Oklahoma. Nebraska and Washington both received votes.
In the latest Associated Press top 25 poll, IU moved up one spot to No. 22.
Following a week one win against Old Dominion, the Hoosiers fell from No. 20 to No. 23.
Ohio State (No. 1) and Penn State (No. 2) are the top two teams in the AP Poll for a second consecutive week. Oregon moved up two spots to No. 4 after its 69-3 rout of Oklahoma State.
Illinois is now No. 9 in the AP poll and Michigan fell to No. 23. Nebraska was the only Big Ten team outside the top 25 to receive votes in the AP poll.
Indiana is back in action on Friday night when it hosts Indiana State in Bloomington. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET on BTN.
