Ikemoto keeps WBO AP female 108 belt

Unheralded underdog Kosuke Tomioka (10-4, 8 KOs), 111.75, stunned the crowd as he came off the canvas in round two and scored a spectacular come-from-behind TKO win over WBO AP top ranked Filipino Mark Vicelles (20-2-1. 11 KOs), 112, at 1:38 of the seventh session in a scheduled eight on Sunday in Shizuoka, Japan.
Tomioka’s explosive left cross badly floored WBO#7, IBF#9 Vicelles, comfortably winning on points, and his furious follow-up promoted the referee’s stoppage to the all-southpaw contest.
Policewoman in Okinawa, Yumemi Ikemoto (10-2, 2 KOs), 107.75, impressively retained her WBO Asia Pacific female junior flyweight belt by chalking up a TKO win over Thailand’s Natthanan Sangiamchit (8-4, 8 KOs), 107.5, at 0:45 of the fifth round in a scheduled eight. Ikemoto, hailing from Shizuoka, decked her homecoming before her local adherents with a fine stoppage.
