ONE Fight Night 36: Jonathan Di Bella vs Prajanchai  showcases a high-stakes rematch on Oct. 3 in Bangkok. The bout will unify the ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Title after Di Bella captured interim gold earlier this year, setting the stage for one of the most significant striking showdowns of 2025.

The Italian-Canadian southpaw shared his thoughts via email interview ahead of ONE Fight Night 36, coordinated through Di Bella Kickboxing. For the Montreal-based fighter, Bangkok represents far more than a location on the schedule. It’s a proving ground — a place where careers can be defined and legacies can be rewritten.

Asked what the moment represents at this stage of his career, Di Bella was emphatic:

“Bangkok is a special place. I’ve had pivotal moments in my career here, so to go back and fight him in his hometown, it means everything.”

ONE Fight Night 36: Jonathan Di Bella vs Prajanchai  What’s At Stake

Di Bella first captured the inaugural strawweight kickboxing title in 2022 with a masterful performance against Zhang Peimian. That victory placed him at the top of the division, but a failed hydration test in 2024 prevented his first title defense and forced him into a position no fighter wants: watching the belt slip away outside the ropes.

The setback became the backdrop for his June 2024 clash with Prajanchai, a decorated Muay Thai champion making his mark under kickboxing rules. Their five-round war ended with Prajanchai taking a unanimous decision in Bangkok, handing Di Bella the only professional loss of his career and raising questions about whether he could rebound.

Rather than fold, Di Bella reset. He returned with a sharp win over Rui Botelho, then silenced doubters with a statement victory against Muay Thai legend Sam-A Gaiyanghadao at ONE 172. That unanimous decision earned him the interim strawweight kickboxing title and confirmed that he remained a force at the top of the sport.

Now, with redemption within reach at ONE Fight Night 36, Di Bella is eager to erase the lone blemish on his record.

“He’s the current World Champion and a legend in the sport. We matched super well in our last fight, and this time, I’m here to take the belt back home.”

This isn’t simply another defense for Prajanchai or another opportunity for Di Bella in ONE Fight Night 36. It’s a clash of contrasting styles, cultures, and career arcs: the Thai superstar defending his crown in the heart of Bangkok, and the Italian-Canadian technician determined to reclaim what he believes is rightfully his.

The fight promises a mix of tactical brilliance and emotional stakes. Prajanchai’s teeps, rhythm control, and ability to adapt mid-fight will again be tested against Di Bella’s southpaw stance, slick lead-hand work, and ability to score late in rounds. For Di Bella, it’s more than a belt — it’s the chance to show that setbacks don’t define him, comebacks do.

Di Bella’s Message to Global Fans Ahead of ONE Fight Night 36

Despite the magnitude of the task ahead, Di Bella carries gratitude along with determination. His message to fans reflected both appreciation and confidence:

“I want to thank all my supporters in Canada, Italy, USA. I even gained a lot of fans in Thailand since the first fight with Prajanchai, and I feel I will gain even more in the rematch.”

The note of respect toward Thai supporters adds a compelling layer to the storyline. While Bangkok is Prajanchai’s fortress, it’s also becoming a second home for Di Bella — one where he has earned admiration even in defeat.

Event Details: ONE Fight Night 36

Date: Friday, Oct. 3, 2025

Venue: Lumpinee Stadium, Bangkok

Main Event: Prajanchai PK Saenchai vs. Jonathan Di Bella (Strawweight Kickboxing World Title Unification)

How to watch ONE Fight Night 36

You can watch Jonathan Di Bella’s next fight on Prime Video in the U.S. and Canada, and on Sky Sports in the UK and Ireland. The event will also be broadcast live in 190+ countries via television, and available on the ONE Championship website, YouTube channel, and Facebook page. Availability may vary by region due to streaming restrictions.

With legacies hanging in the balance, Lumpinee Stadium will once again play host to a fight that feels larger than the belt itself. For Prajanchai, it’s about proving superiority on home soil. For Di Bella, it’s about redemption, unification, and carving his name permanently into the history of the division. That’s why Jonathan Di Bella vs Prajanchai ONE Fight Night 36 is shaping up to be one of the can’t-miss rematches of the year.

Interview conducted via email with responses provided by Jonathan Di Bella through Di Bella Kickboxing.
