The Aces got a game-high 32 points from guard Jackie Young and a big 28-point, 14-rebound double-double from A’ja Wilson to take a 91-78 win in Game 2. For the postseason, that duo is averaging 46.3 points on 50% shooting.
For the Mercury to claw their way back into the series, big performances on their home floor will be a must. Phoenix was 15-7 at Mortgage Matchup Center in the regular season and entered the playoffs with the WNBA’s fourth-best record overall (27-17). The trio of forwards Satou Sabally (18.4 ppg, 7.2 rpg) and Alyssa Thomas (17.2 ppg, 8.3 rpg and 8.7 apg) and guard Kahleah Cooper (16.6 ppg) will once again be keys after leading the Mercury’s incredible run through the WNBA playoff bracket.
