The Aces-Mercury matchup is delivering the most-watched WNBA Finals through two games since 2000. Heading into Wednesday’s Game 3, ESPN/ABC are averaging 1.5 million viewers, which is up 25% compared to the same spot of Liberty-Lynx last year (also on ABC/ESPN to start). Game 2 on Sunday afternoon on ABC, up against NFL action, averaged 1.2 million viewers, down slightly from 1.3 million last year. The boost has come from Game 1, which drew 1.9 million on ESPN on Friday night. That was the best Game 1 since 1997, when the WNBA ended with a one-game championship.
