Mauch Collects Another GLVC Offensive Honor After Weekend Sweep

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – On Monday afternoon, women’s soccer sophomore forward Maddie Mauch added another weekly honor to her resume as she earned Offensive Player of the Week for the Great Lakes Valley Conference after helping drive her team to a 10-1-4 overall record and 10-1-1 mark in league play, as announced by the league. Mauch, who earned the award on October 6, fired two goals while assisting on one more over the two-game weekend, tallying five points overall in the victories against UIndy and Lewis at Leemon Field. Mauch and the Bearcats head into the final weekend of regular season action with the reins in-hand for the regular season crown, looking to lock up the title in two road match ups at Upper Iowa and Quincy on October 31 and November 2. 

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Maddie Mauch | Sophomore | Forward 
The 2024 GLVC Freshman of the Year continues to stride through her sophomore season, earning her second GLVC Player of the Week honor of the campaign after she first two goals and dished off one assist over two victories this past weekend for her Bearcats squad. Mauch, a Columbia, Illinois-native, scored the first goal in the Friday win over the Greyhounds of Indianapolis while assisting on the fifth and final goal of the evening win. In the Sunday bout versus the Flyers, the sophomore put up the deciding goal of the victory in the 54th minute to get her fourth game-winning score of the 2025 campaign. On the year, Mauch totals nine goals with two assists for 20 points, all three of which are career-highs. In the league, she sits tied for third in both goals and game-winners. Over the two-game weekend, she fired seven shots, putting three on-frame in 105 minutes on the pitch.
