Cameron Brink’s second season with the Los Angeles Sparks concluded on Thursday at Crypto.com Arena against the surging Las Vegas Aces. The Sparks offered little resistance against the Aces, who secured their 16th straight win with a 103-75 victory.
Brink’s season ended on a sour note as well. The 6-foot-4 forward suffered a nose injury after just five minutes of action. Brink was elbowed in the face by Aces forward NaLyssa Smith, which caused a nose bleed. Brink was quickly ruled out for the remainder of the contest.
The former Stanford star took to social media on Monday to share some of her favorite moments from her sophomore season. Brink used her bloody moment as the cover photo of her Instagram album.
“For the love of the game..💛💜 year 2 ✔️” she captioned her post.
Support quickly poured in for Brink as peers and fans alike reacted to the graphic photo.
“Our fighter 💪” commented the Sparks.
“So proud of you🙌🙌🙌🙌” reacted WNBA legend Lisa Leslie.
“Yay Cammy! So proud❤️ of you,” wrote Washington Mystics rookie and former Stanford teammate Kiki Iriafen.
“❤️❤️❤️” posted teammate Julie Vanloo.
“The toughest. Team Brink always 🙌” a fan commented.
“Damn girl hope u feeling better now! U definitely took one for the team!! 💪💪” another said.
Brink, who missed majority of the season as she recovered from a torn ACL suffered last year, averaged 5.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in her second WNBA season. She came off the bench in all 19 appearances this year, averaging 12.8 minutes per contest.
Brink is expected to use the offseason to get herself ready for 2026. She is healthy and should have a full offseason to prepare for what the Sparks are hoping will be a big year next season.
