Caitlin Clark returns to The ANNIKA Pro-Am with Fever teammates Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull, swapping hoops for golf in her WNBA offseason
Caitlin Clark will trade the hardwood for the fairway this November as she returns to “The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican” Pro-Am for the second straight year despite nailing a fan with a golf ball last year. This time, however, she’ll be joined by Indiana Fever teammates Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull as celebrity guest caddies.
The event, hosted by golf legend Annika Sorenstam, will take place at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida, where Clark will play alongside defending champion Nelly Korda, who suddenly withdrew from the opportunity to represent the United States, and Northwestern All-American Lauryn Nguyen.
Gainbridge ambassadors Briana Scurry, the two-time Olympic gold medalist goalkeeper, and NASCAR driver Carson Hocevar will also serve as celebrity caddies.

Clark’s return to the tournament comes a year after a memorable debut that saw her accidentally strike a fan with an errant tee shot.
She later joked about the incident on social media and promised to keep things safer this time around, writing, “Will try not to hit anyone,” with a prayer emoji.
“I had an amazing time at The ANNIKA last November, participating alongside Nelly Korda and Annika Sorenstam, two of the best in the game,” Clark said in a statement.
“I’m honored to be an ambassador for a company in Gainbridge that is so committed to elevating women’s sports. I can’t wait to return to Tampa in November to play in the pro-am with the best women golfers in the world.”
The Wednesday Pro-Am, which will be open to the public, serves as one of the signature events leading into the main LPGA tournament, featuring 108 of the world’s best female golfers competing for a share of the $3.25 million purse, one of the largest on the tour.
Cunningham and Hull will represent the Indiana Fever as part of the Gainbridge partnership, showing their support for Clark and further spotlighting the growth of women’s sports.
“Having Briana and Carson joining Caitlin at The ANNIKA is an opportunity for Gainbridge to showcase the variety in our sports sponsorship portfolio,” said Mike Nichols, Group 1001 Chief of Sponsorship Strategy and Activation.
“As partners with the Indiana Fever, we look forward to welcoming Caitlin’s teammates Sophie and Lexie to Tampa Bay to elevate and shine a spotlight on women’s sports.”
Scurry, who will also appear as a panelist at the Women’s Leadership Summit held at Pelican Golf Club, spoke about the broader impact of events like The ANNIKA. “It’s incredible to see the energy and attention surrounding women’s sports right now,” she said.
“I’ve long admired Annika for breaking barriers in her sport the way so many of us have tried to in ours, and it’s inspiring to see athletes like Caitlin carrying that torch for the next generation.”
