Tunisian tennis star Ons Jabeur and her husband, Karim Kamoun, have announced that they are expecting their first child. Married for ten years, the couple is preparing to welcome a baby boy in April 2026.
The couple shared the joyful news in a short video showing them hugging and smiling while revealing a small tennis racquet and a Wimbledon baby bodysuit:

The reveal holds special emotional significance for Jabeur, who lost back-to-back Wimbledon finals in 2022 and 2023. After the second defeat, she opened up about how deeply it affected her both professionally and personally.
Being a female athlete poses a unique set of challenges and halting your career to become a mother is one of them. Many tennis players have successfully returned to the professional circuit after childbirth, but the journey is difficult and unpredictable.
It was, I think, the toughest loss of my career, because emotionally it destroyed me. It was the tournament that I said ‘Okey, I feel like I’m gonna win it. I’m gonna win it and then maybe I could take a break and have a baby.’ So, not only not winning Wimbledon, but like the idea of having a baby just vanished with the trophy of Wimbledon. I was haunted by fear, by panic attack.
In July 2025, Jabeur announced a break from tennis, explaining that after two years of pushing through injuries and challenges, she no longer felt truly happy on the court. The pregnancy news now adds a heartwarming turn to her story, bringing happiness after a time of struggle.
Despite stepping away from competition, the 31-year-old has remained active within the WTA community. At the recent WTA Finals Riyadh, she participated in the second WTA Foundation Champions for Women’s Health Summit, alongside former Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli and leading figures from the local Saudi community.
