However, her success abroad hasn’t stopped fans from anticipating a possible WNBA comeback — speculation that Carter has occasionally fueled herself with cryptic posts on social media. Last month, she told fans to “check back end of the month” as it pertained to a potential WNBA comeback.

That chatter reached a new level on Monday when Carter shared a series of videos showing her back in the United States with the caption, “DFW DFW DFW 🏁.”
The posts — referencing the Dallas Fort Worth area — instantly sparked a wave of rumors from fans that Carter could be eyeing a return to the league, possibly with the Dallas Wings.
“Chennedy does DFW mean Dallas/Fort Worth? Don’t get our hopes up 😩,” one fan urged.
“If you are coming to the Wings it’s UPPPPP,” another fan mentioned.
