Four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka has announced she is leaving Evolve, the sports agency she co-founded in 2022 with longtime agent Stuart Duguid, bringing an end to a three-year partnership that began after her departure from IMG.

The former world No. 1 confirmed the move on Friday, revealing she will part ways with the agency at the start of the new year, though she stopped short of naming her next representation.

Evolve made an immediate impact upon its launch, quickly building a high-profile client roster that included Nick Kyrgios and current women’s world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka. Kyrgios and Sabalenka are scheduled to meet later this month in a highly publicized “Battle of the Sexes” exhibition match in Dubai.

“Hi everyone, writing this to say starting in the new year I’ll be parting ways with Evolve,” Osaka wrote in a message shared on Instagram. “It’s been a great run and I’m so grateful for all the memories shared.”

While her announcement marked a significant professional shift, Osaka struck an optimistic tone and left her future plans deliberately open. “When I make my decision on where I’ll go next, you’ll hear it from me,” she added. “Thank you for supporting me always and I’m so excited for the year ahead!”

Osaka, who captured two Australian Open and two US Open titles between 2018 and 2021, returned to the WTA Tour in 2024 following maternity leave. Her comeback gained momentum this season, highlighted by her first title as a mother in May 2025.

She went on to reach the final of the Canadian Open and the semifinals of the US Open, closing the year ranked No. 16 in the world.
