Sevilla extended their unbeaten run to six Liga F matches with a narrow win over Alhama at the weekend.
Meanwhile, Atlético Madrid experienced another disappointing outing as they played out a 2-2 draw with Eibar on the final round of Liga F matches in 2025.
Liga F will now take a break until the new year, so let’s round up the last action of 2025.
Sevilla edge out 10-player Alhama
Chantal Hagel opened the scoring in Sevilla’s home meeting with relegation-threatened Alhama. The 27-year-old produced a composed finish from outside the box to pick out the bottom corner. Alhama were soon dealt another blow when Judith Caravaca was shown a straight red card in the 35th minute following a studs-up challenge on Inma Gabarro.
To their credit, the visitors showed great character to pull themselves level through Yiyi in the opening stages of the second half. However, they return home with nothing to show for those efforts after Alba Cerrato netted a 72nd-minute winner. The 18-year-old made a run towards the centre of the goal to steer the ball home from Gabarro’s pullback.
Atlético drop points in Eibar clash
Synne Jensen got Atleti off to a positive start in Sunday’s game against Eibar, slotting the ball through the legs of Eunate Astralaga to register her fifth goal of the Liga F season. Atlético were unable to hold on to their slender advantage as they conceded two goals in six minutes. Carla Andrés nodded in from a deep cross before Emma Moreno raced onto a perfectly weighted through ball to slide a low shot under Patricia Larqué.
Trailing at the break, the visitors levelled the scoreline through Vilde Bøe Risa’s 59th-minute penalty after a handball was spotted in the box. However, the fourth-placed side would have been frustrated with their inability to find a winner. As a result, they have now gone four competitive games without a win since they beat Twente in the Women’s Champions League on November 20th.
Barcelona put five past Badalona
Barcelona’s Ewa Pajor saw her early opener cancelled out by Badalona’s Lorena Navarro in Saturday’s Liga F meeting between the two Catalan sides. Claudia Pina then produced a stunning effort from outside the box to give Barcelona a narrow lead at the break.
Former Badalona player Carla Julià Martínez went on to score her first Barcelona goal, before Vicky López netted her seventh goal of the Liga F season. There was still time for Esmee Brugts to tap in a fifth to complete another resounding victory for the league leaders, who finish 2025 with a seven-point cushion to second-placed Real Madrid.

Real Sociedad pick up easy win
Third-placed Real Sociedad boast a four-point advantage over Atleti after they eased to a 3-0 win over Deportivo La Coruña on Sunday. La Real scored all three goals in an impressive second-half display. Lucía Pardo turned the ball in from close range to open the scoring in the early stage of the second period.
As the game moved past the hour mark, Emma Ramírez got across her marker to volley in from Andreia Jacinto’s inviting delivery. Klára Cahynová added a third in the closing stages to complete Real Sociedad’s fifth win in seven matches (D1, L1).
Three away clean sheets
Real Madrid were among three teams to win on the road while keeping a clean sheet on match-day 14. Las Blancas netted three goals in 14 first half minutes to clinch a comfortable win over Granada. Paula Comendador guided the ball in from Athenea del Castillo’s squared pass to open the scoring on the half-hour mark.
The focus then turned to Alba Redondo, who headed in from a Sara Dabritz’s cross and scored from a goalkeeper parry to register a brace before the break. While they were unable to extend their advantage in the second half, Real Madrid stood firm at the opposite end of the pitch to seal a fourth consecutive clean sheet in all competitions.
Madrid CFF’s run of three consecutive wins came to an end with a 2-0 defeat to in-form Athletic Club. Elene Gurtubay caught Paola Ulloa out with an effort that sneaked in at the near post. Matters got worse for Madrid CFF when Esther Laborde was sent off for two bookable offences in the 68th minute. Boasting a one-player advantage, Athletic made sure of the three points with less than 10 minutes to play in regulation time. Daniela Agote latched onto a bouncing ball to rifle a powerful effort past Ulloa.
Meanwhile, Espanyol’s Ángeles del Álamo scored the decisive goal in Saturday’s away meeting with Levante. The 27-year-old headed in from Lucía Vallejo’s free-kick to clinch all three points for her side. Espanyol have won four of their last five competitive away matches (D1). As for Levante, they will finish the calendar year without a win in their 14 Liga F games (D2, L12).
Spoils shared in Tenerife
While Levante are languishing at the bottom of the table, DUX Logroño are just four points better off in 15th position. Logroño may be languishing in the drop zone, but they did at least pick up a useful point in their away meeting with Costa Adeje Tenerife. Paula Rubio scored a 77th-minute leveller for the visitors, cancelling out Natalia Ramos’s first-half opener.
Did you know?
Eder Maestre has left his position as Tenerife head coach following a reported breakdown in his relationship with president Sergio Batista. The news represents a significant setback for the club from the Canary Islands, considering they are performing well in fifth spot in the table.
Best Liga F goal of match-day 14
Pina netted the standout goal of the final match-day of the calendar year. The Barcelona star adjusted superbly to conjure a sweet strike from Mapi León’s slightly overhit layoff. The powerful effort flew past the outstretched goalkeeper before going in off the underside of the crossbar.
