In the first of two heavyweight contests on the card, Guilherme Viana took on Aleem “Hammer” Whitfield.

In the closing seconds of the second, a left hand sent Whitfield to the canvas once more. Referee Edgar Lopez waved it off at 1:59 of round two.

Viana wins his BKFC debut, moving to 1-0 (1). Whitfield drops to 0-2.

Joe Peters Stays Perfect With Wild First-Round TKO

Both fighters landed clean shots early, with Demko’s pressure giving him the edge in the opening round. Caniglia responded in the second by controlling the pace from the outside. In the third, Caniglia was building momentum before two separate eye pokes halted the action. After the second infraction, Demko was docked a point.

Early in the fourth round, another eye poke prompted referee John English to disqualify Demko at 0:34 of round four.

Caniglia picks up his first BKFC victory, improving to 1-1, while Demko begins his bare-knuckle career at 0-1.
