Clark joined teammates Syd Colson, Aliyah Boston, and Brianna Turner (as well as former WNBA player Theresa Plaisance, who co-hosts the “Unsupervised with Syd and TP” podcast with Colson) as the group went live on social media this week — and proceeded to send fans into a frenzy when she joked that she could play in the team’s first playoffs match against the Dream on Sunday.
In a clip making the rounds on social media, Plaisance can be heard telling Clark to “rest up” before Clark answers, “I will I got a big game coming up Sunday,” which prompted Colson to exclaim, “Girl!” before Clark continued, “Oh, shoot, did they just hear I’m playing?”

Not one to miss a beat, Boston then chimed in, “You’re playing? They heard you say you’re playing?”
Colson then deadpans, “Yeah, let me end it” in reference to the livestream.
Clark announced she will be out for the remainder of the 2025 WNBA season on September 5.
“I had hoped to share a better update, but I will not be returning to play this season. I spent hours in the gym every day with the singular goal of getting back out there, disappointed isn’t a big enough word to describe how I am feeling,” she wrote via social media.

“I want to thank everyone who had my back through all the uncertainty. This has been incredibly frustrating, but even in the bad, there is good. The way the fans continued to show up for me, and for the Fever, brought me so much joy and important perspective. I am so proud of how this team has only gotten stronger through adversity this year. Now it’s time to close out the season and claim our spot in the Playoffs.”
