Tempe, AZ – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (“ITA”) is pleased to announce today the launch of College Tennis Weekend, an initiative aimed to engage college tennis communities and uplift programs through fan attendance, donations, and community involvement.

Held March 27-29, college tennis programs who are hosting home matches this weekend are encouraged to gather as many community members, fans, and alumni as possible to attend their match. For programs not hosting a home match or playing an away match, we are encouraging them to host community events to bring individuals to their courts to help foster relationships for future fans and program donors.

“College Tennis Weekend is an opportunity to celebrate the people and programs that make college tennis thrive,” said ITA CEO David Mullins. “As we launch this inaugural event, our hope is to build a tradition that grows each year—bringing communities together, increasing support for college tennis programs, and strengthening the future of the sport for years to come.”

Several programs from across the country have already made it easy for fans to support their programs this weekend. Through the College Tennis Weekend webpage on the ITA website, the tennis community and college sport fans can see events taking place on a state-by-state basis, and will be able to find donation links as well as other links for each match on this page in the coming months.

With matches and events taking place across the country, we highly encourage fans to be active on social media highlighting the moments they are sharing with the college tennis programs in their community. Programs will also be encouraged to share their promotions on social media through a number of campaigns and collaborative opportunities that fans are also encouraged to engage with.

If you are interested in staying updated on College Tennis Weekend activities please follow the ITA on social media (@ITA_Tennis) or sign up for our College Tennis Newsletter which will deliver frequent updates around college tennis straight to your inbox.
