If you’re a WNBA fan, it’s probably not an exaggeration to say that you’re watching pretty much every possible source for any news pertaining to a new CBA and what’s going to happen with the league ahead of the 2026 season. There are a lot of voices out there reporting on the news, but there are also a lot of voices out there just throwing ideas into the void.

One source that’s extremely reliable is the player themselves, something that makes Breanna Stewart’s most recent media venture pretty cool. Stewart is partnering with Milwaukee Bucks player Myles Turner on a brand new podcast that will cover all things NBA and WNBA, and might be a model adopted by more players from both leagues going forward.

The pair’s podcast, “Game Recognize Game with Stewie and Myles,” will debut on January 28. The podcast will follow a weekly format that examines whatever is going on in both leagues. That will very likely include conversations surrounding the CBA negotiations in the WNBA as well as playoffs and championship games in both leagues. The pair is also expected to discuss the culture and lifestyle that surrounds the leagues, and are uniquely positioned to offer insight into both aspects that isn’t easy to come across.

Breanna Stewart met Myles Turner through Gabby Williams

In an interview with Front Office Sports published this week, Turner shared that he was introduced to Stewart by her UConn teammate, Gabby Williams. Turner also said he was initially hesitant to throw his hat into the podcast world, which he described as “saturated.”

“I felt like everybody had their podcast or free form way of getting things out,” she said. “And when the opportunity came to be with Breanna Stewart, that’s really what I thought was interesting because we could have something that was one-of-a-kind. There hasn’t been a NBA/WNBA crossover. Once they got Stewie involved, I was all in for it.”

It’s been noted that the podcast is the first to feature an active WNBA and active NBA player together.

Myles Turner joined the Bucks this season

For those who perhaps aren’t as familiar with Turner, he played for the Indiana Pacers before leaving the team during free agency. Turner’s decision came as a bit of a surprise, as he previously spent 10 seasons with the Pacers. He signed a four-year, $108.9 million contract with the Bucks in July 2025 and is averaging 12.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists so far this season.
