INDIANAPOLIS – The 2024-25 Butler women’s basketball schedule will feature a home game against in-state rival Indiana as the highlight of the Bulldogs’ non-conference games. Indiana will visit Hinkle Fieldhouse on Wednesday, Nov. 13.

The most recent matchup between Indiana and Butler took place at Assembly Hall during the 2022-23 season. The previous year, Indiana and Butler kicked off the 2021-22 season at Hinkle Fieldhouse on Nov. 10.

Indiana has been nationally ranked in the last three meetings with Butler. In 2024, the Hoosiers made an appearance in the NCAA Tournament for the fifth consecutive year, winning two postseason games before being defeated by South Carolina in the Sweet Sixteen. IU entered the tournament as a No. 4 seed with an at-large bid and a 26-6 overall record. Butler holds a 1-9 all-time record against Indiana in a series that began in 1989, with their lone victory coming on Dec. 9, 2012.

Under Austin Parkinson’s leadership, the Bulldogs achieved 15 wins in the team’s second season. The team set a new program record by making 266 3-pointers during the 2023-24 season. Butler led the BIG EAST and ranked fifth in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage (38.3%).

Caroline Strande will return for her final season with the Bulldogs in 2024-25. She made history by becoming the first player in program history to lead the team in points, rebounds, and assists per game last season. Strande was named a Second Team All-BIG EAST selection, and Riley Makalusky earned a spot on the BIG EAST All-Freshman Team. Butler earned a spot in the WNIT field last year as an at-large selection, marking their return to the postseason for the first time since 2018-19.

Details regarding the tip time and streaming information for the Indiana game will be announced later. Stay tuned for the release of more non-conference games on Butler’s schedule.

Ticket orders can be completed online, in person at the Hinkle Fieldhouse ticket office, or over the phone. Our ticket staff is available to assist you directly. For more information, please contact tickets@butler.edu!
