The NBA officially announced the 2026 All-Star Game starters, setting the stage for a midseason showcase in Los Angeles at the Intuit Dome. This year’s starter list blends veteran icons with rising talents. Fans, NBA players, and media all had input in the voting process, with fans counting for 50%, players 25%, and media 25% of the total vote.
The All-Star Game moves forward with a fresh twist: starters are selected positionless, meaning guard and forward labels no longer limit the lineup.
Eastern Conference Starters
The East starters include some of the league’s most reliable performers. Giannis Antetokounmpo earned his 10th consecutive All-Star start. He continues to be a dominant force with Milwaukee, showcasing elite scoring and rebounding.
Jalen Brunson of the New York Knicks secured a starting spot once again, adding to his reputation as one of the league’s top guards. Tyrese Maxey also made the list, marking a major milestone as a starter after earning fan support with standout scoring performances. Cade Cunningham and Jaylen Brown round out the Eastern Conference five. All have contributed key performances this season.
Western Conference Lineup
The West starters are loaded with star power.
Nikola Jokić was named a starter for the eighth time. continuing his exceptional playmaking and scoring for Denver.
Luka Dončić leads the Western voting and commands huge attention with dynamic offense.
Stephen Curry returns as a veteran starter, adding firepower and deep shooting. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Victor Wembanyama complete the Western five, each driving their teams with elite production and highlight plays.
What This Means for the All-Star Game
This season introduces a new “USA vs. World” format to All-Star Weekend. Rather than traditional East vs. West play, starters and reserves will be grouped into three teams: two U.S. squads and one World squad. These teams compete in a round-robin tournament of short games, adding a competitive twist to the festivities.
Reserves will be unveiled later, but the starter list already highlights the NBA’s top performers and fan favorites. Expect more big names as coaches make their selections ahead of the Feb. 15 All-Star Game.
