ALGS Online Open 2026 watch parties revealed

Electronic Arts (EA) has revealed a series of watch parties that will occur during the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) Online Open 2026, which commences February 28th.

Nine creators, casters, and channels will broadcast the online matches across Apex Legends’ esports regions, which include the Americas, EMEA, APAC North and APAC South.

The Americas will feature two streams, one will be a joint broadcast from ALGS Year 5 Championship co-streamers Jack ‘NiceWigg‘ Martin and Athanasios ‘Greek‘ Alestas, while the other will be held by Twitch partner ‘Valekhan.’

Two watch parties will cover matches in the EMEA region, including retired French caster and player Matthieu ‘oraxe‘ Ribiere, and Apex Legends streamer ‘Berbatow.’

APAC North will be viewed by RIDDLE Apex Legends coach Yusuke ‘assiikun‘ Ashiwa, and tournament organiser ESCL.

Finally, APAC South co-streams will be held by Thai caster Phawat ‘PMKz‘ Moonmueangkham, and the fan-created APAC South community hub Battlegrounds HQ.

The ALGS Online Open, formerly known as the Preseason Qualifiers in past years, are a series of online regional qualifiers that mark the beginning of the ALGS Year 6 circuit. Running from February to late March, 2026, teams compete across four weekends to secure as many points as possible.

Points awarded are based on a team’s placement and total number of kills at the end of a match. A team that survives as the last squad standing can earn 12 points, and will earn a single point for each kill secured during that match.

According to EA, the ALGS Online Open will be held from February 28th to March 2nd, March 7th to 9th, March 14th to 16th, and March 21st to 23rd, 2026

In each region, the winning team of each open will secure a spot in the Split 1 Pro League. Additionally, the next four top teams per region, based on points gathered, will also qualify. Reaching the Pro League is essential for any team wishing to qualify for the ALGS Championship next year, serving as the first opportunity to secure Championship Points.
