Javier Reyes earned a big first-round knockout victory in his promotional debut at UFC Mexico on Saturday.
Silva de Andrade wasted no time getting going, connecting with a vicious overhand right that caught Reyes clean and sent him crashing to the canvas early. Fortunately for Reyes, he was able to tie up and stave off the ensuing onslaught from his opponent.

90 seconds later, Reyes turned the tables, landing with a right hand of his own that put Silva de Andrade down. Reyes proceeded to rain down a bevy of brutal bombs, looking for an early finish.
Just when it appeared that Silva de Andrade would make it out of the round, referee Herb Dean stepped in with one second left in the stanza, awarding Reyes a massive TKO victory in his Octagon debut.

Official Result: Javier Reyes def. Douglas Silva de Andrade via TKO (ground-and-pound) at 4:59 of Round 1.
