The WNBA CBA talks continued on Saturday, as the two sides met for the fifth straight day. WNBPA President and Storm F Nneka Ogwumike said that revenue sharing and team-funded housing “were two major items” that still needed to be resolved to get a deal. Ogwumike: “It’s very important for us to nail those two things down which is I think the biggest thing on the agenda today” (AP, 3/14). On Friday night, WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert gave a Monday deadline to ensure the season does not get interrupted, as training camp is set begin April 19. Engelbert: “We have to get a deal done by Monday. We have to get it done without disrupting some part of the fact that we’ve got to run this two-team expansion [draft]. We have to get expansion going. We got to get free agency going. We got to get the college draft” (SBJ).
