Caitlin Clark struggled for the first three quarters in Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Lynx, but she came alive in the fourth quarter.
Scoring 10 of her 17 points in the final quarter, Clark led the Indiana Fever to an 81-74 victory over the Lynx. The team outscored Minnesota 28-14 in the fourth, with Clark’s impressive offensive performance leading the way.
The Fever have now won three of their last four games and improved to 10-6 since their rough 1-8 start to the season.
Clark’s presence on the court has been a key factor in the team’s turnaround. The top overall draft pick entered Sunday’s game with five consecutive double-doubles, solidifying her reputation as one of the best passers in the WNBA this season.
Although Clark only finished with six assists on Sunday—her lowest in nearly a month—her determination to win shone through as a scorer in the fourth quarter. While she hasn’t reached consistent 25-point performances like she did at Iowa, her growth in her rookie season has been impressive.
The Fever will face the Dallas Wings on Wednesday in their final game before the WNBA All-Star/Olympic break.
